Michael McGriff

Michael McGriff was born in Coos Bay, Oregon. He attended the University of Oregon and the University of Texas at Austin where he was a Michener Fellow in Creative Writing. He received the 2005 Ruth Lilly Fellowship from Poetry magazine and his poems have appeared in Poetry, Northwest Review, Hayden's Ferry Review, Mid-American Review, The Canary, American Literary Review, and elsewhere. His chapbook, Choke, was recently published by Traprock Books, and is currently in the Stanford Creative Writing Program as a Stegner Fellow.
