Joshua Kryah

Biography

Joshua Kryah was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, he received a Ph.D. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he was a Schaeffer Fellow in poetry. His first collection of poems, Glean (2007), won the 2005 Nightboat Books Poetry Prize judged by Donald Revell. His poems have appeared in Denver QuarterlyFIELDThe Iowa Review,Pleiades, and Shenandoah, among other journals. He lives in Las Vegas with his wife and daughter and is a Visiting Assistant Professor in UNLV’s University College. He is also poetry editor for Witness.
