Biography

Robin Ekiss is the author of The Mansion of Happiness (University of Georgia Press, 2009), winner of the 2010 Shenandoah/Glasgow Prize, and a finalist for the Balcones Poetry Prize, Northern California Book Award, and Commonwealth Club’s California Book Award. Her poems have appeared in The Atlantic Monthly, Poetry, American Poetry Review, Ploughshares, New England Review, Kenyon Review, Ninth Letter, TriQuarterly, Black Warrior Review, Blackbird, AGNI, Gettysburg Review, Gulf Coast, Best New Poets 2007, and elsewhere. She has received a Rona Jaffe Foundation Award for emerging women writers, a Stegner Fellowship from Stanford, and residencies from the MacDowell Colony, Millay Colony for the Arts, and Headlands Center for the Arts. A contributing editor for ZYZZYVA, she is on the executive committee of Litquake, the West Coast’s largest literary festival. She lives in San Francisco.
