Biography

Heather Treseler’s poems appear (or are forthcoming) in Alaska Quarterly Review, Boulevard, Harvard Review, Iowa Review, Missouri Review, Notre Dame Review, Obsidian, Pleiades, Southern Poetry Review, and Southern Humanities Review, among other journals. Her essays appear (or are forthcoming) in Boston Review, Los Angeles Review of Books, and in six books about postwar American poetry. She is an associate professor of English at Worcester State University, where she teaches contemporary poetry and creative writing; a visiting scholar at the Brandeis Women’s Studies Research Center; and a fellow at the Boston Athenaeum. Her honors include prizes for individual poems chosen by Marilyn Nelson, Lloyd Schwartz, and Henry Walters as well as support from the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
