Sarah Gridley earned an MFA in poetry from the University of Montana. Her books, Weather Eye Open (2005), and her latestGreen is the Orator are both available through the New California Poetry Series, University of California Press. Her poems have appeared in various journals, including Crazyhorse, Denver Quarterly, Gulf Coast, jubilat, Kenyon Review Online, New American Poetry, and Slope. A recent recipient of an Individual Excellence Award from the Ohio Arts Council, and a Creative Workforce Fellowship from the Community Partnership for Arts and Culture, she lives in Cleveland, Ohio, where works as an assistant professor of English at Case Western Reserve University.
