Biography

Kyle G. Dargan is originally from Newark, New Jersey, and is currently an associate professor of literature and assistant director of creative writing at American University. A former managing editor for Callaloo and former poetry editor for Indiana Review, he is founding editor of Post No Ills Magazine, a web-based and print annual publication of arts criticism and commentary. He is the author of four collections of poetry: The Listening (University of Georgia Press, 2004), winner of the 2003 Cave Canem Poetry Prize; Bouquet of Hungers (University of Georgia Press, 2007); Logorrhea Dementia (UGA, 2010); Honest Engine (University of Georgia Press, 2015), a finalist for the 2016 Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award, a finalist for the 2016 Hurston/Wright Legacy Award in Poetry, and an honorable mention for the 2016 Eric Hoffer Award in Poetry; and the forthcoming Anagnorisis (Triquarterly in September 2018).
