Biography

Elizabeth Polli has been translating from Spanish into English off and on since the 1980s. Recent publications include translations of poetry, prose and essays by Sergio Chejfec, Felix de la Concha, Fritz Glockner, Ana Merino, José María Merio and Luis Muñoz. She is currently working on a collection of poems by Cuban writer Wendy Guerra. Her translations of scholarly essays on comics have also appeared in the “International Journal of Comic Art”. Currently Polli is the Spanish Language Program Director at Dartmouth College, where she has taught and directed the Spanish language program since 1998.
