Biography

A graduate of Harvard Law School and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, Seth Abramson is the author of four collections of poetry: Metamericana (BlazeVOX [books], 2015); Thievery (University of Akron Press, 2013), winner of the 2012 Akron Poetry Prize; Northerners (Western Michigan University Press, 2011), winner of the 2010 Green Rose Prize from New Issues Poetry & Prose; and The Suburban Ecstasies (Ghost Road Press, 2009). A contemporary poetry reviewer for The Huffington Post and a regular contributor to both Poets & Writers and Indiewire, he is also series co-editor for Best American Experimental Writing (Omnidawn, 2014; Wesleyan University Press, 2015 and beyond). Between 2000 and 2007, he was a public defender in New England; he is presently an assistant professor of English at University of New Hampshire.
