Biography

Paul Guest is the author of four poetry collections: Because Everything Is Terrible (Diode Editions, 2018); My Index of Slightly Horrifying Knowledge (Ecco, 2008); Notes for My Body Double (University of Nebraska Press, 2007), winner of the 2006 Prairie Schooner Book Prize; and The Resurrection of the Body and the Ruin of the World (New Issues Press, 2003), winner of the 2002 New Issues Poetry Prize. His poems have appeared in Poetry, The Paris Review, The Southern Review, Kenyon Review, New England Review, North American Review, Tin House, and elsewhere. His memoir, One More Theory About Happiness, was published by Ecco in 2010. A Guggenheim Fellow and Whiting Award winner, he teaches in the Creative Writing Program at the University of Virginia.
